LEAD Fellows


LEAD is a year-long fellowship program that allows students to enhance their leadership competencies, explore various facets of diversity, and exhibit knowledge of inclusive leadership. LEAD Fellows review seminal and current literature on inclusive leadership, participate in class discussions on current issues, engage with local and national  leaders, maintain a portfolio of critical reflections, and complete a group project . Students selected for the fellowship must be sophomores or juniors during the academic year and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Strong candidates will demonstrate an interest in inclusive leadership and articulate a desire to benefit from and contribute to the fellowship. 

LEAD Fellows develop:

  1. Enhanced understanding of 21st century inclusive leadership
  2. Increased capacity for self-reflection and developing personal diversity leadership philosophy
  3. A strong peer and professional network of individuals and scholars committed to learning and leadership
  4. Expanded readiness for engaging in inclusive workspaces and communities beyond UGA
