President's Fulfilling the Dream Award
The President’s Fulfilling the Dream Award recognizes individuals in the University of Georgia and Athens-Clarke County communities who have worked to make Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of equality and justice a reality.
Recipients of the President’s Fulfilling the Dream Award are recognized each year at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Breakfast. Award winners demonstrate commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement in addressing critical community issues; utilize King’s philosophy to reduce tensions, resolve conflict and foster goodwill; and apply King’s teachings to build bridges of understanding and unity. The Breakfast; sponsored by UGA, the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and the Clarke County School District; commemorates King’s life and legacy.
If you have questions about the award process, please contact the Office of Inclusive Excellence at 706-583-8195 or diverse@uga.edu. To read more about the annual MLK Freedom Breakfast, click here.
