Rail PassesIf you are planning to travel in Europe, it would be wise to purchase a rail pass. These come in many forms, depending on your age, student or teacher status, country of travel, duration of travel and dates of travel. However, if you are planning to travel even a few times by train, some type of rail pass is usually a better bargain than paying the fares individually. Rail passes can be purchased from DERTravel, STA Travel or TravelCraft. Brochures are available in the Study Abroad Library in 110 E. Clayton St., Suite 300 Bank of America Building. In certain cities that have subways, often students can purchase passes for extended periods of time. Student bus passes are also often available. For bus passes in Europe, see Busabout. Check with your program director, tour guide books, or the local public transportation office for more information once you arrive at your destination. |
