The ISIC, which is sponsored by STA Travel, entitles students who are traveling abroad to discounts on airfare, travel, museums, and other activities. It also provides students with health and accident insurance as well as evacuation and repatriation benefits should something happen while they are abroad. ISIC cards cost $23 and may be purchased at the Office of International Education. Bring a check made out to the Office of International Education and one passport sized photo. You may also download the application in advance, fill it out and bring it with you to the office. Some study abroad programs include the ISIC in their program fee, so check first before purchasing one at UGA. |
