Judges From the Greater Athens Community:

Kelli Guinn Olsson is an Athens photographer specializing in artistic portraits, pet photography, and promotional photos.  She is completely self-taught, and became interested in photography while still in high school and has been working professionally for 6 years.  She has been published in Beer Advocate Magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Flagpole, UGA Press, Southern Cultures, and Amplifier Magazine, among others.  Being a newlywed, she is currently most interested in engagement portraits.  Her interests going forward are in fashion and food photography.  She loves to cook and often photographs the process; check out her cooking blog at http://localokra.blogspot.com/. Meredith Welch-Devine is a post-doctoral research associate at the Center for Integrative Conservation Research at UGA.  In her work as an anthropologist, she has lived and worked in the Basque Country, Uganda, and Costa Rica.  Meredith’s work focuses on how people interact with and manage their environments, and she is currently working on a project to understand how the social sciences are and can be used in environmental conservation. As an anthropologist, Meredith views photography as a powerful form of storytelling that connects the viewer to the people and places pictured, but also as a tool for eliciting stories and memories from others. http://mwdevine.myweb.uga.edu/
