UGA International Summer Institute
Postponed to Summer 2013
The Summer Institute at the University of Georgia will introduce international students and scholars to American history, politics and culture. You will take classes from internationally recognized faculty, live on the beautiful UGA campus with access to the university libraries and the outstanding Ramsey Recreational Center, and mingle with local residents in charming downtown Athens. The Summer Institute includes trips to Atlanta, the state of Georgia capital and international hub, to visit attractions such as the CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium.
The UGA International Summer Institute is a most rewarding way to spend your summer. If you are planning to pursue a degree in the United States, the program will familiarize you with the classrooms and programs at an American research university, give you the opportunity to interact with prestigious scholars, and strengthen your English language skills. If you are looking for short-term experience in the United States, the Summer Institute will give you an activity-packed academic, cultural, and language experience that is very affordable. Finally, if you are simply curious about American culture, or considering a career that requires familiarity with western society, the UGA International Summer Institute is a program tailored to your needs. Regardless of why you enroll, at the end of the four weeks you will have a deeper appreciation of American society, stronger English language skills, and information on how to pursue future studies at the University of Georgia.
