About Amanda El-Kadi:
Amanda El-Kadi started her time at the Office of International Education in May 2015 as a Junior Education Abroad Advisor. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in International Affairs and a minor in Arabic. As a student she participated in UGA Franklin's Morocco study abroad program in summer 2014. This sparked her love of education abroad and international travel!
Colleen P. Larson is an Education Abroad Advisor who joined the UGA Office of International Education team in 2004. She currently advises students to pursue a variety of international education opportunities in diverse areas of the world, coordinates the UGA Exchange Programs for outbound inbound international students, as well as study abroad risk management training program for UGA faculty and staff who lead programs abroad. A native of Illinois, Colleen has a B.S. in Enterprise Management from Northern Illinois University and a Master of International and Intercultural Management degree, with an emphasis in International Education, from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT. Colleen has been involved with international education activities since her undergraduate studies and first traveled overseas to Ghana for an international AIESEC internship. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer (Small Business Development) for over three years in the Peace Corps in Barahona, Dominican Republic and Quetzaltepeque, El Salvador , she returned to the US to begin a career in international education. Prior to UGA, Colleen was employed by CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange and Central Connecticut State University.
Beverly is one of the newest members of the Education Abroad team at the OIE and primarily works with Incoming Exchange students as well as advising for UGA faculty-led programs. A native to Augusta, Georgia, she received her Master’s in Teaching from Augusta State University in 2011 where she also served as ASU’s Graduate Assistant. This began Beverly’s interest in International Education and she has since been involved with study abroad for nearly a decade having most recently served as the European Council Coordinator for the University System of Georgia. During her undergraduate time, she participated in several summer study abroad programs including trips to France, Spain, Costa Rica, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and El Salvador. She hopes her next travels are to Norway or Tanzania!
